Chicago celebrates World Refugee Day

Wednesday is World Refugee Day and a local business in the city is making sure they celebrate refugees all over the country.

WeWork welcomes those applicable to their Refugee Initiative. This initiative brings together companies and refugees in a collective effort to expand opportunity and build a brighter future for all.

Beginning in early 2017, WeWork partnered with the International Rescue Committee’s New York office to create a pilot program to employ refugees in the city. Now, they’re expanding their commitment to employing 1,500 refugees over the next five years in the U.S. and U.K.

Wednesday evening WeWork is hosting World Refugee Day Community Culture Night. With the help of Karam Foundation guests will be able to mingle, try Syrian food and shop local businesses while learning more about their initiative.
