Tech Tuesday: Spring Clean Your Closet with These Apps

When the weather begins to change so does your wardrobe. Are you regretting some of those clothing purchases you made last year? Want to downsize a bit? Well, cleaning out your closet is made super easy and you can get a bit of cash in the process. Krista Green from 'The Jam' has two apps that will help get your closet organized.

Poshmark

With this app, you can post a product to sale with just three simple steps. Snap a photo, post it, and then ship it off using a pre-paid label once the item sells. Poshmark will take 20% of your profit, but you will definitely make some money using the app.

ThredUp

Now if you want to make it a bit easier, use ThredUp. With this app, you order a "clean-out" bag which ThredUp sends for free. You fill the bag with all of the items you do not want and send it back. The team at ThredUp takes it over from there. They curate the items, take photos, and post it on their website. Any items that they do not find fit for sale are donated.

Now you may not make as much money as on ThredUp versus Poshmark simply because of the amount of effort you have to put into it. Either way, these apps will make your closet cleaning process a bit easier.
