New Lawsuit Against Governor J.B. Pritzker Campaign

Governor J.B. Pritzker’s campaign is dealing with a new sexual discrimination lawsuit. This is the second lawsuit against the campaign. In the first lawsuit, ten campaign workers accused Pritzker of running a campaign based on racial discrimination and harassment.

A woman, who is transgender, says she was fired based on her sexual preference and identity last March.

Emma Todd, the woman who is filing this lawsuit, worked for Governor Pritzker's campaign August 2017.

She was then a field organizer and actually liked the job. A new supervisor came in about six months later. Todd says that supervisor allegedly said she was, “the reason people don't like transgender people.”

But that's not all, the lawsuit claims the supervisor had a sexual fetish with transgender individuals and would ask Todd about her sexual habits.

With that, the lawsuit alleges Todd was fired March 25th on illegal discrimination.

But, a spokesperson for the governor's campaign says Todd was let go with several others and he added the people who were in charge of that didn't know of her sexuality preference.
