I grew up in McHenry, great town! A job brought me to Lake McConaughy in Nebraska. Another neat town to visit outside of Chicago, would be Richmond Illinois. It's about 12 miles north of McHenry real close to the Wisconsin border. Antique town, a lot of character. They are so many cute shops and also Anderson's Candy Shop....
