In Depth Look at Lori Lightfoot and Toni Preckwinkle

Lori Lightfoot and Toni Preckwinkle are about to make history next Tuesday. Both candidates are looking to be the next mayor of Chicago. But, only one of the two will become the first African-American woman to lead the city.

Although they have many similarities on how they were raised and how many siblings they have, they’re quite different. Chicago Sun-times reporters Mark Brown and Lauren FitzPatrick wrote in depth profile pieces on the candidates.

Both reporters chatted with The Jam’s Diana Gutierrez. They talked about high school years, how these women were shaped to become who they are and more.
