North Side Businesses Robbed: CPD Investigate Nine Incidents in Two Weeks

It's been going on all winter, and police are noticing a trend. Delivery drivers are being called up in the Austin neighborhood only to be shown a gun and forced to give up what they have. The most recent incident happened last week on January 14th. Several unknown suspects ordered food to the 1400th block. When the driver arrived, those suspects approached and pulled out a gun. They then demanded money and the food itself. All of the cases took place between the hours of 9pm and 2am. Not much is out on the suspects. We are told it was a group of men and women, ranging in ages from 14-35 there haven't been any witnesses aside from the accounts of the drivers themselves. So that's all police have to go on right now. If you have any information you're encouraged to call the police.
