As the Sky’s exclusive local broadcast television station, The U was front and center at the event.

Excitement and anticipation were in the air as Skytown patiently waited for the No. 10 pick—the Sky’s first of two back-to-back first-round picks. Securing the Sky’s #1 spot was Slovenian forward, Ajš Sivka, directly followed by point guard Hailey Van Lith, the Sky’s next pick and 11th overall pick in the draft.

Fans were ecstatic at the addition of these two new members, especially Van Lith, a former teammate of Sky forward Angel Reese. The two players were starters together on LSU’s Elite Eight team in the 2024 NCAA women's basketball tournament.

Following the first-round picks, the Sky added forward Maddy Westbeld from Notre Dame (No. 16 draft pick) and Aicha Coulibaly, a guard from Texas A&M (No. 22 draft pick) to the roster.

In reference to the Sky’s picks, Head Coach Tyler Marsh said that in addition to finding good players, the Sky staff was also looking to find players with "good character," which is what they believe they have done this year. Click the video below for the entirety of Marsh's post-draft address.
