Monday night, April 15, Skytown’s season ticket members, partners, and media gathered at Revolution Brewing to watch and welcome the Chicago Sky’s newest players in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

With the No. 3 and No. 7 picks, the Sky chose University of South Carolina center Kamilla Cardoso and LSU forward Angel Reese. In the second round, Gonzaga’s Bryanna Maxwell (guard) was chosen as the No. 13 pick.

Skytown was ecstatic with the selections, as was Head Coach Teresa Weatherspoon and General Manager Jeff Pagliocca. Both confirmed they got “exactly what they wanted out of this draft.” In addition, Sky guard Diamond DeShields commented she was happy to welcome the new players and looking forward to seeing what they will bring to the team.
