A new block-long mixed-use complex is coming to Fulton Market
Fulton Market has had a hefty share of new construction.
According to Crain’s, a joint venture developer is planning a 1.2-million-square-foot office, retail, and hotel space. The 24-story structure will take up the entire 1200 block of Fulton Market. And the new site will bring an additional bustling structure to the West Loop. Overall, the Fulton Market district is expected to see 800 new hotel rooms and 3,500 new apartment units in the area.
Along with the structure, there is a proposed idea of constructing an additional Metra station.
The plans for the new development have not obtained zoning approval yet, but it seems this project aligns with the goals for the community.
