Meet John B. Murphy Elementary Golden Apple Winner Jenine Wehbeh
Jenine has been teaching social studies to 7th and 8th grade students at John B. Murphy Elementary School. When she began teaching she noticed how the history books gloss over moments in history that reflected poorly on the United States so she developed a curriculum that highlights the histories of marginalized people, queer folks, people of color, young people and women.
