Importance of Local Journalism
The goal for ‘On The Block’ was to provide context to the stories happening in your neighborhoods. While we may be going off-air, that street-level, hyper-local journalism continues with Block Club Chicago. We brought Block Club reporters Quinn Myers, Melody Mercado, Jamie Nesbitt Golden, and Maxwell Evans to talk more about the importance of community-based reporting.
