Candidates should have at least a decade of managerial experience at a law enforcement agency, a track record of working with diverse communities and “fostering positive ties with neighborhoods,” according to a brochure for the position. Experience working with court-ordered consent decrees — which the Police Department is operating under — is also preferred.
