Batavia takes on Mount Carmel Saturday on Game of the Week

Both Mount Carmel and Batavia entered the IHSA State Finals Tournament with an identical record of 11-1 in regular season play. Batavia was able to secure its spot in the semifinal game by first defeating Lincoln-Way Central 45-17 in the first round of playoffs, then Hononegah in the quarterfinals 55-14. Similarly, Mount Carmel continued its regular season momentum in the IHSA State Finals Tournament first with a win against Prospect 49-15 followed by a victory this past Saturday in their quarterfinal matchup against Quincy 61-14.
