Zak Stemer stopped by to give us a few ideas on what to do for the last weekend in February! From Chinese New Year celebrations to concerts, there is plenty to explore around Chicago!
February 23 - Celebrating David Bowie Concert
Check out this tribute concert to the legend, David Bowie! You will hear everything from his most popular songs to deep cuts from his last album. Tickets start at $35.
February 24 - Ashanti and Ja Rule
This weekend you can flashback to the early 2000s with Ashanti and Ja Rule at the Riveria. Get tickets here!
February 24 - Polar Adventure Day
Geared towards kids, Northerly Island’s Polar Adventure Days features lots of fascinating fun, including meet and greets with Siberian Huskies, ice sculpture creations, storytelling, live music and more.
February 24 - 25 - Frost Fest
Join this weekend winter block party in Boystown. It’s a winter celebration of craft beer, spirits, and cider, featuring dozens of vendors sampling their finest local, seasonal and specialty creations. There will be multiple DJ’s, a rainbow light show, ice sculpture carving, and more.
February 25 - Chinese New Year Parade
Join the crowds in celebration of the Year of the Dog as the procession travels north along Wentworth Avenue from 24th Place up to Cermak Road. Along the way, don't miss the marching bands, colorful floats, and the traditional dancing lion and dragon teams.

February 3 - Chicago Whiskey Festival
Kick off the first weekend in February with a hint of whiskey. There will be over 30 varieties of whiskeys, bourbons and scotches to try at the festival. Tickets are priced between $40-$60.
February 10 - The Pajama Crawl
Roll out of bed and hit the bar. For $20, you can join The Pajama Crawl in Wrigleyville. Tickets are priced at $20 and include admission, a breakfast buffet, and three $4 gift cards to use during the event.
February 14 - Spinning with Singles
Looking for love on Valentine's Day? Meet others singles at a speed dating event at Navy Pier. Hop on the Centennial Wheel and chat with other Chicago singles. Tickets are priced at $50.
NOW- February 18- Chicago Theatre Week
Calling all theatre kids. The League of Chicago Theatres, along with Choose Chicago, will be hosting the Chicago Theatre Week for the sixth year. You will have the option to choose from more than 120 productions and sample a range of theatrical offerings. Tickets range in price from $15-$30.
Now - February 19 - Chicago Auto Show
The Chicago Auto Show is the biggest auto show in North America, and Chicagoans have a front row seat to the event. From car fanatics to amateur browsers, there is something for everyone. Tickets are priced at $13 for adults and $7 for children.
February 17 - Cider Summit
Satisfy your taste buds at the 6th annual Cider Summit. There will be over 150 ciders for tasting. General admission is just $35 and includes 15 tasting tickets, a souvenir tasting glass and a donation to Heartland Alliance.
February 21 & 28 - Winter Hike & Yoga
Embrace the weather with a winter hike at the Morton Arboretum followed by an indoor yoga session. This is the perfect event to focus on total body health. General admission tickets are priced at $20.
