Fill a Bag, Fill a Bus 2025: Help End Hunger in Chicago
The U has partnered with MeTV FM, the CTA, Jewel-Osco, Greater Chicago Food Depository, Almost Free Teeth, and Walner Law for our 'Fill a Bag, Fill a Bus' food drive to end hunger in Chicago. We’ll be at Jewel-Osco stores asking you to help fill a CTA bus with nonperishable food items for neighbors facing hunger. Your donations of canned goods will go to Greater Chicago Food Depository food pantries.
Want to take part and make a difference? Here’s how:
Thursday, December 11, we'll be at the Jewel-Osco at 4650 W 103rd St. in Oak Lawn collecting nonperishable donations from 12P-5:30P and meet The U talk show host and Chicago native, Steve Wilkos, who will be stopping by to help from 1:30P-3P.
Friday, December 12, join us Jewel-Osco at 7525 W. Lake Street in River Forest from 12P-5:30P to donate.
If you can’t make it to a Jewel-Osco you can still make a HUGE impact by donating online. Every $1 donated provides 3 meals to hungry Chicagoans. Help improve the lives of your neighbors in need this holiday season and give the gift of charity in our ‘Fill a Bag, Fill a Bus’ food drive.
