Game of the Week: The Rivalry Continues
It's going to be a Catholic High School Basketball showdown when longtime rivals, Brother Rice and St. Rita, face off tomorrow at 7P on The U.
Brother Rice and St. Rita have had a rivalry lasting for generations. Their rivalry has only intensified since their last game in March of 2021. After an extremely well-fought battle, the game ended with an unbelievable score of 49-48 with Brother Rice just barely getting the win. Now, in 2022, the Mustangs are ready for a rematch.
The Brother Rice Crusaders are currently ranked 22 on Michael O'Brien's Chicago Sun-Times Super 25 Basketball Rankings list. Their record this season is 21-6 with a conference record of 10-3. The St. Rita Mustangs have a record of 19-10 this season, while their conference record is 10-2. The game tomorrow, sure to be a sellout, is at St. Rita, where the Mustangs hope they'll have a home-court advantage.
