Judge Faith talks court TV, being a Miss America runner-up, and more in a recent interview on "The Breakfast Club"
Judge Faith Jenkins is known for handling some prickly cases in the courtroom. However, did you know that she was a former pageant queen? In a recent interview on the radio talk show "The Breakfast Club," Judge Faith talks about her experiences before courtroom television.
Judge Faith is a Louisiana native that graduated first in her class from Southern University Law Center. She also was the first African American woman to win the Miss Loiusanna Tech title. She was the first runner-up in the 2001 Miss America pageant which she describes as a defining moment in her journey to success.
She said, "my mother told me that God has something better for you than Miss America. Well, what is that? I went right back to school, got my law degree, and as I look back at my journey and where I ended up, I couldn't do what I am doing now without that experience, and this, as my mom said, is better than that."
