Real Chicagoans | The Legacy of Pullman Porters
An industrial community, built soley for its employees. The Pullman Palace Car Company created a neighborhood for its workforce. It's now known as the Pullman Neighborhood. The area is bound by 95th St. on the north and 115th on the outh. The railroad tracks on the east and Cottage Grove on the west. It is home to the only black labor museum in the nation. A place where African American History is honored, celebrated, and looked to for guidance for the future.
